A message from our academic dean of classical instruction
Dear St. Ann Classical Academy,
After several joyful and meaningful years as Head of School, I am grateful to continue serving this community in a new capacity as Academic Dean of Classical Instruction during the 2025–2026 academic year. This role was created to support the ongoing growth and renewal of our mission as the only Classical Catholic school in the Diocese of Metuchen. It allows for a focused commitment to strengthening our Catholic identity and deepening the classical liberal arts tradition that shapes every aspect of our academic, spiritual, and school community life. Working closely with Mrs. Courtney Ceponis, our Head of School, and Fr. Tom Odorizzi, our Pastor, I am honored to help guide the school’s continued development—ensuring that our programs remain faithful to the Church’s vision of education and responsive to the needs of our students and families.
At St. Ann Classical Academy, education is far more than the acquisition of knowledge—it is the formation of the whole person: mind, heart, and soul. Rooted deeply in the Church’s intellectual and spiritual tradition, our classical Catholic model invites students into a lifelong pursuit of Truth, Goodness, and Beauty. Students are formed through a rich encounter with the enduring ideas, texts, and truths that have shaped Western civilization. Through the distinct stages of the Trivium—Grammar, Logic, and Rhetoric—they build foundational knowledge, learn to reason carefully, and develop the skills to articulate their ideas clearly and persuasively.
Our carefully curated curriculum fosters life-long learners through an integrated approach that inspires wonder and deep intellectual curiosity. History, literature, science, mathematics, music, art, English, Latin, and religion are not taught as isolated subjects but as interconnected parts of a coherent whole—revealing the unity of all knowledge. Students are encouraged to think deeply, speak clearly, and live virtuously. This rigorous yet joyful education forms thoughtful, articulate, and faithful scholars who seek what is true, good, and beautiful.
Now in its seventh year as a classical school, St. Ann Classical Academy remains committed to offering an education that is faithfully Catholic, rigorously classical, and simply joyful. If you are considering a school for your child’s education, we warmly invite you to explore St. Ann’s and discover the lasting difference a classical Catholic education can make.
Thank you to our families, faculty, parish, and benefactors for your continued support, prayers, and partnership. It is a joy to serve alongside you in this noble and joyful mission.
In Christ, Mrs. Marisa Day Academic Dean of Classical Instruction St. Ann Classical Academy
