Our 5th graders are bringing science to life as they sort and analyze solar system data and imagine their own constellations, blending careful observation with creative exploration. Using FOSS Science resources as a foundation, Mr. Cirillo’s active, lab-based program engages students in authentic scientific inquiry—encouraging them to observe, question, analyze, and wonder.
Rooted in our classical curriculum, these lessons connect beautifully to the Quadrivium Arts—the classical disciplines of arithmetic, geometry, music, and astronomy—inviting students to contemplate the order and harmony of the cosmos. By combining data analysis with imaginative thinking, students encounter both the scientific precision and the poetic beauty of God’s creation, just as learners did in the classical tradition.
Thank you to Mr. Cirillo for his dedication to a vibrant, hands-on approach that unites faith and reason, embodying our mission to form joyful scholars and saints.
