St. Ann Classical Academy’s recent Barnes & Noble Night was a joyful celebration of literature, learning, and community spirit. Families gathered for an evening that highlighted the beauty of the written word and the joy of discovering great books together.
The evening opened with moving recitations by our students, who brought to life the classic proverb "For Want of a Nail" and J.R.R. Tolkien’s beloved verse "All That is Gold Does Not Glitter." Their poised and thoughtful presentations reminded all in attendance of the power of language and the timeless truths embedded in literature.
Following the performances, students participated in an exciting book scavenger hunt, working in teams to track down classic tales and beloved stories using only memorable quotes as clues. The energy was high, the teamwork impressive, and the love for literature unmistakable.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Home School Association Board for their thoughtful planning and organization, to Barnes & Noble for graciously hosting our school community, and to our dedicated students, parents, faculty, and friends who made the evening so meaningful.
Events like these enrich our students’ educational experience and affirm our mission to form Saints, Scholars, and Servant Leaders through a joyful and integrated classical Catholic education. Thank you to all who joined us in making this night a shining success.
