Learning about the Renaissance in the Upper School

September 20, 2025Our 4th graders took their study of the Renaissance to new heights as they tested their very own Da Vinci–inspired flying machines!
In history, students have been learning about Leonardo da Vinci—the true “Renaissance Man”—exploring his genius in art, invention, and scientific innovation. A hallmark of a classical liberal arts education is the integrated approach to learning, where subjects connect and students dive deeply into great ideas.
This project brought together history, science, and imagination as students discovered how Da Vinci’s designs continue to inspire curiosity and creativity.
