In a solemn and reverent ceremony, students at St. Ann Classical Academy recently participated in the traditional "burying of the Alleluia," marking the beginning of the Lenten season. This symbolic act, connecting to the anticipation of Christ's death and resurrection, holds deep significance in the school community.
The ceremony was made even more special by the creative contributions of our students, who beautifully colored Alleluias as part of the tradition. Their artistic expressions added a touch of creativity and reverence to the proceedings, reflecting the spiritual depth of the Lenten journey.
Led by Mrs. Rego, our third-grade students played a pivotal role leading our school community through a decade of the Rosary during the prayer service accompanying the Alleluia burial. This moment of prayerful reflection was a poignant reminder of the importance of spiritual growth and introspection during Lent.
Special recognition goes to Miss Dennis and Mr. Nardino for their dedicated efforts in preparing this meaninful prayer service.
As the school community continues its Lenten journey, these meaningful moments serve to enrich our spiritual growth and deepen our connection to the Easter story. With hearts prepared, we eagerly anticipate the joyous proclamation of "Alleluia! The Lord is risen!" when Easter arrives.
